The Capulet Ball - 2016

At The Episcopal Church Of St. Mary The Virgin, San Francisco, CA

The opening night of this one-of-a-kind masquerade and performance!

We partied with the Capulets in the amber light of this 1891 Church, and steped back into the sleepy countryside that was Cow Hollow at the end of the nineteenth century. Built on an underground river, the natural spring in the brick-laid courtyard provided drinking water to the neighborhood after the 1906 earthquake (and could do so again if need be). Ball guests mixed with the party-crashing Montagues aside the stunning outdoor fresco mural, created by artists Lucienne Bloch and Stephen Dimitroff in 1966. We soaked up history and celebrated life and love with members of this thriving, 125-year-old church community.
