Limits - 2017

Summer/ Fall 2017

A duet based on, in, and around an 9ft tall, double-sided, “A” frame ladder that explores the idea of failure and atychiphobia (fear of failure) from both a personal and societal perspective. The ladder, which is used throughout the piece to symbolize a precipice, social hierarchy, goals, and physical labor, creates a strong image for the very polarized way we view failure and success, despite the fact that these two states of being are not only completely subjective, but also completely intertwined and dependent on each other.
